Good News About Chocolate

Feeling bad about that chocolate you enjoyed on Valentine’s Day? Well, don’t feel too bad. According to an analysis of research to be presented in April at the American Academy of Neurology’s 62nd Annual Meeting in Toronto, eating chocolate may lower your risk of having a stroke. And for those who have had a stroke, another study indicates that eating chocolate may lower the risk of death following the stroke. The researchers note that chocolate is rich in antioxidants called flavonoids that may protect against stroke, but caution that more research is needed.
